PIKES PEAK RESULTS
Very bittersweet end to my rookie year at Pikes Peak Hillclimb. As you saw from my video update yesterday (click here if you missed it) we were only able to run the first third of the mountain due to hurricane force winds. My practice times showed great improvement in all 3 sections but my best times were at the top and the middle sections. I was going to show what that Corvette was capable of up there.
REDEMPTION in 2026!!!
Despite having an electronic glitch (Reduced Engine Power) right after turn one where I had to quickly power car off and back on and then hammer it and then it took off like a rocket!! Drove like my hair was on fire to make up for lost time and what an adrenaline rush!! Still despite the power delay, we were 6 secs faster at the checker than my quali time and ended up 14th in Pikes Peak Open out of 27; 12th fastest rookie out of 21 drivers; and 50th out of 73 yesterday.
I couldn’t have done this alone and my crew worked their butts off as it seemed everyday we were working on the car. With lifter and cam issues the folks at Under Pressure Performance got on my car quickly on the week in between practice and race week. No one got to really sightsee and they took off work to spend helping me achieve this dream.
Huge shoutout to Scott Michael, Randy Adkins, Ted Visscher and Taylor Shead!!!
Gentlemen, thanks for putting up with me and I will never forget what you’ve done for @teamtracymotorsport !!!
I have so many other friends, sponsors, partners who wanted to see me succeed and I cant thank all of you enough!!
Today at the Awards Banquet It was so very cool to win the “Be All You Can Be” Award from the 10th SFG (Special Forces Group) from Ft Carson and Pikes Peak International Hillclimb!!! This award recognizes a competitor who exemplifies the spirit of the award’s name and is chosen by the 10th Special Forces. Very special to win that!!
Now the long trip home and back to work and reality!!
